Rage.Fan Partners With Kylin Network
Rage.Fan is very excited to announce a long-term strategic partnership with Kylin Network to build a Fantasy Sports Oracle.
Partnership Vision
Fantasy sports is on the rise and increasing the need for data to enable fantasy sports fans to fully unlock the benefits of analysis, decision making, and general consumption, which in turn would create demand for service providers who can help deliver these services.
With that objective in mind Rage.Fan and Kylin Network are coming together to build a completely decentralized sports data platform. The parties contribute complimentary core skills to the partnership. Kylin brings technology and infrastructure capabilities whereas Rage.Fan offers domain expertise, data source for the fantasy sports oracle, data formats and transformation (structural and logical), and deep analytics.
The partnership is also expected to address potential threats around security and failure to ensure seamless and secure data availability.
Blockchain Oracle
A blockchain oracle is any device or entity that connects a deterministic blockchain with off-chain data. These oracles enter every data input through an external transaction. This way, we can be sure that the blockchain itself contains all of the information required to verify itself. This is why oracles are known as blockchain middleware — they are the bridge between the two worlds.
Benefits of Partnership
Post-implementation, we expect that smart contracts will never source data from a single point but instead pull data from a network of nodes. This also avoids a single point of failure. This decentralized data network is blockchain agnostic and hence all blockchains can have access to reliable secure off-chain sports data.
